The Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI)
Liberation Day Committee is excited to announce the opening of applications for Royal Court
Candidates, Parade Participants, and Food Vendors for the upcoming 78th Liberation Day

This year holds special significance as it is not only an annual event commemorating the
liberation of the CNMI, but this year commemorates the 80th anniversary of the historic Battle of
Saipan and Tinian, pivotal events during World War II. Liberation Day serves as a poignant
reminder of the sacrifices made and the resilience shown by the people of the Northern Mariana
Islands during this tumultuous period in history.

This year, the festivities are scheduled to take place from June 15 to July 6, 2024, promising
weeks of vibrant celebrations, cultural displays, and community spirit. Your CNMI Liberation
Day Committee invites all interested individuals to participate in various capacities:

Participants interested in joining the royal court, parade, or serving as food vendors are
encouraged to contact the CNMI Liberation Day Committee for application details and
